芬兰赫尔辛基大学简介
世界名牌大学—赫尔辛基大学是位于北欧芬兰的最高学府。1640年创建于芬兰古都土尔库，原名为土尔库皇家学院(the Royal Academy of Turku)。芬兰当时隶属于瑞典王国，土尔库皇家学院当时是瑞典帝国的重要学术机构之一，1828年迁至赫尔辛基。赫尔辛基大学以其悠久的历史，丰富的藏书，一流的设备，齐备的专业以及杰出的成就，闻名欧洲。赫尔辛基大学的校旗依旧是芬兰国旗，由此可见赫尔辛基大学对芬兰整个国家的意义。
赫尔辛基大学有11个院系及20个相对独立的研究所。赫尔辛基大学实行芬兰语和瑞典语双语教学。伴随着芬兰的国际化进程，英语也广泛地应用于硕士和博士的教学。赫尔辛基大学的法律，哲学，数学，理论物理，生命科学及医学等学科居世界领先地位。历史上赫尔辛基大学孕育了4位诺贝尔得主。Lars Ahlfors获1936年诺贝尔，Frans Emil Sillanpaa获1939年诺贝尔文学奖，Artturi Ilmari Virtanen获1945年化学奖，Ragnar Granit获1967年诺贝尔医学奖。此外，世界著名的音乐大师Jean Sibelius也是出自赫尔辛基大学。
